Raphael Haas got a diploma (MS) in aeronautics from Technical University of
Braunschweig, Germany in 2005. In his thesis he developed a program system
including a beam-model for rotor blades for wind turbines with coupled structural
dynamics, stationary and unsteady aerodynamics, a natural frequency and eigenmode
solver as well as an aeroelastic stability analysis module. Results of this work
were presented A the EWEC 2006 scientific track. For the last two years he worked
with EUROS GmbH, where he focussed on the structural layout of rotor blades
including also aspects like suitable design load derivation and production friendly
design. In close connection to his fields of work, he also engaged in the development
of different types of design software. Mr Haas is one of the founders of WINDnovation
where he is working as Senior engineer for structural design.
